James, if you are familiar with chinese p2p tv market do you know something about Sina UCLIVE(http://down1.tech.sina.com.cn/downl...000/36059.shtml)
I downloaded it but after I open the player once and then close it I cannot reopen it again. Also, there is a new p2p tv called cboxtv (http://www.cboxtv.cn/) which is paid. Do you know what kind of channels they offer? Also, do you know if teavea.com will launch there p2p player soon? It's been a long time since they started their project. |

SNSingAlma, I can tell you more about it)))
The site you are asking about is VOD and is using SNS technology. I think I post about snsing a year ago or more if I remember right. First SNS started like a chat similar to skype and some other and they had the p2p streaming tech integrated in the chat application. More about SNSing you can find at the official page http://www.snsing.com/frame_html/index.htm Then they made a SNS standalone player using the same P2P streaming and they created the site MAXTV - http://maxtv.cn/ In order to watch P2P VOD(movies and other videos) you need to download and install the SNS player and have installed also Real Player. You can do find them here http://www.maxtv.cn/download.aspx Basically it works this way: when you start watching a vod program in the SNS player it download the streaming file on your **** drive but not as a video file but as some kind of temp encrypted file( you cannot watch it with other player) Seems like just using some kind of BT technology. So, having this file on your drive you share it with all the other users who want to watch it. Sound like P2P right?) |
